"Learn to work from your strengths, address your challenges
and gain practical skills to create the life you really want"
When you think of therapy, do you picture a nervous, upset person with fistfuls of tissues to catch their uncontainable tears, returning week after week for years as they attempt to heal? Do you have a hard time imagining yourself in that scenario? Do you think that’s your only option?
Well…, it’s not. Don’t get me wrong…My clients definitely cry. They express pain, frustration, anger…all of it. AND they learn how to self-soothe. They feel frustrated, helpless and stuck. AND they gain skills to get out of the patterns that led them to that unpleasant place. Sometimes they even feel close to giving up and resigning themselves to an unsatisfactory life. AND they find a new way to embrace life and really live it with purpose and joy.
Most of my clients (75-80%) find relief and sustainable change through short-term therapy. I believe in the cycle of PILAR (process-insight-learn-apply-repeat). Working with me means you will have the chance to :
Process:Lay out your concerns and your story, in a safe and accepting environment
(Gain)Insight: Discover your accidental participation in the things that bug you to figure out what you can, and can’t, change or control
Learn: Gain practical skills for both internal self-care and external interaction with others
Apply: Get support while you practice using those new tools
Repeat: Come back for “tune-ups” and when new issues arise
Every person is different, and short-term therapy isn’t right for all. However, for many of us, short-term therapy and support can make all the difference in day-to-day living, in a shorter amount of time than you might think.
If I think short-term therapy isn’t a good fit for your situation , I will tell you. I want you to be successful in your quest for health, and if can’t help you on that path, I can give you some tips for finding the person who can.

About Pamela Suraci
"If you’re visiting this page, you’re obviously looking for help. Maybe you can’t take another day of your child’s behavior or your partner’s habits. Maybe work feels way harder than it should, or you find yourself wiped out, annoyed or just feel like you are not firing on all cylinders. Anxiety, depression and other issues get in the way of how you live your life, how you relate to the people you love, like or work with and how you treat yourself."
Good Faith Estimate
Effective January 1, 2022, laws regulating client care have been updated to include the “No Surprises” act, which requires a wide variety of providers to give current and potential future clients a “Good Faith Estimate” (GFE) on the cost of treatment. Below you will find a summary of this requirement.
